Apartments We Love: 473 11th Street

It’s no secret that Brooklyn is the place to be for young, hip professionals and students in New York. Among all of the incredible (and not so incredible) places to live in Brooklyn, we absolutely love 473 11th Street. This three-bedroom, one-bath apartment boasts a sprawling 1184 square feet of space with three floors, a cellar, and a gorgeous outdoor patio. Plus, it’s in an amazing location with lots of things to see and do right around the corner.

A Full, Modern Kitchen

One of the first things that visitors will notice about this apartment is its kitchen. With updated appliances and a gas range stove with an industrial hood, you can imagine yourself cooking lots of delicious meals at home. The marble countertop and long matching island provide plenty of space for prep work or to sit and have breakfast or coffee with your loved ones.

The natural wood cabinetry and accents give the space a warm feeling and the tile backsplash – which reaches all the way to the ceiling – is both functional and stylish for a modern look that you’ll feel comfortable living in. There’s even a beautiful corner space off to the side with two large windows that are perfect for a breakfast nook or a reading area.

An Open Floor Plan for Dining and Socializing

Beyond the kitchen, you’ll note the open floor plan, which gives plenty of space for a dining table and a full living room set. With an entire wall of windows facing the enclosed back patio and courtyard area, you’ll never be lacking natural light in this gorgeous apartment.

And, because the courtyard is fully enclosed, privacy is never an issue. Plus, you’ll have plenty of space to entertain friends and family inside and outside.

Storage and Organization Galore

One of the many things we love about this apartment is how well it is designed and how much storage and organization it has. While it has a sprawling floor plan, it doesn’t waste any of that space. In addition to lots of great cabinet space in the kitchen, on the second floor, you’ll find a bedroom that could work beautifully as an office space with a built-in desk, shelves, cubbies, cabinets, and drawers, as well as an attractive reading bench tucked away into the wall.

A Wonderful Location

Located in Park Slope, between South Slope and Central Slope and just two blocks west of Prospect Park, you couldn’t ask for a better location. There’s a train station just a block and a half away, and it’s within walking distance of the Brooklyn Public Library, as well as some delicious cafes, including Bagel Hole and Café Grumpy.

With property values continuing to climb in Brooklyn – and especially in Park Slope – this apartment could not be better placed. It’s beautiful, spacious, and it has a design that flows and functions. We love it for all these reasons and more, and we think you will too!
